This right here, is Kendrick Lamar X Doodle Drawing. As you may already know, Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper with so much cultural influences outside of the classical and jazz genres. The reason why I drew Kendrick Lamar in the first place is because of the beef that have been taking place during the last few months between him and Drake. Although the beef is still ongoing, I gotta say, Kendrick Lamar definitely defeated Drake in this feud. There is no way Drake is recovering from this or making a comeback with the way Kendrick have dissed him in his songs especially "Not Like Us" and "Euphoria". Drake might be a rapper, but Kendrick is a generational artist that is yet to be told in the generations that is yet to come.

First thing first, I drew the GOAT himself. I first outlined his entire figure to create a pensive pose and then I drew his facial and body features. Instead of making it cartoonish, I attempted to realistically draw him. So I first drew his face, my goals wasn't to show off his facial features in order to make it look mystery and shadowy, in order to represent a symbol of iconic that he possesses in the rap industry with his lyrics content and the cleverness behind each words that he expresses in his songs. So I made his face kind of a mystery with shadows, the only thing that is visible on his face is the crown that he wears inspired his recent album called "Mr Morales And The Big Stepper", his eyes and his ears. After focusing on the details of his face, I moved onto structuring his body features.

His shirt could have been drawn basic and simple, but I decided to deepen into creating details on his shirt. As you may notice, his shirt is already white, but I partially shade his shirt to imply the shadowiness and the wrinkles of his shirt as well as capturing details on it. Not adding details on his shirt may or may not have had it's impact to the drawing as a whole, but since I am focusing on the realism of the rapper, I decided to aim for it.

Next was drawing his arms and pants, I think drawing his body was the best part of the drawing in terms of Kendrick Lamar figure because of the smooth transitions that is being shown between different shades. It's kind of parallel to a sunset, where you have different colors blending and transitioning from one another. I like how the different pencil shades often transition and smoothens all over the place from his arms to his pants. I think it cannot be any perfect than this and I think I pulled it off just accurately with the shades. Overall, I strongly believe that the pencil shades actually made Kendrick Lamar look iconic and glorified as one of the best rappers in our generations.

Behind Kendrick Lamar, I blasted the sketchbook page with abstract doodles from the entire middle to the left side of the page. I used symbols, letters, figures and object as abstract doodles with multiple pencil sketch shades to symbolize Kendrick Lamar into the background. The purpose of the doodle is to highlight the dynamic of hip hop especially revolving around his self-proclaim career. These doodles plays a major role as if there is a flame of success bursting behind Kendrick Lamar, in which helps indicate the conceptual idea playing fire with fire.

After finish Drawing Kendrick Lamar and the abstract doodles, I thought I was finished drawing but then I looked at my supposedly finished drawing. I was like hmmmm, something feels off on the right side of the drawing because of how blank it was. This is when I added additional details to the drawing.

On the top right of the drawing, underneath my signatures, are the list of song names and tracks he made to diss Drake in his feud with him. The song lists was rather randomized in numbers without serving any real purpose except showing how many songs he wrote during his ongoing diss. Underneath the songs tracks, is "DAMN." being vertically drawn. I drew "DAMN." because that is one of Kendrick Lamar's best acclaimed album ever in his career that left a significant impact in his hip hop legacy. SO I used a spiked font to vertically draw "DAMN." with very very dark shades with my pencil.

Last but not least, on the bottom left of the drawing, I wrote "Don't tell no lie about me & I won't tell truth about you" with a pen. This is a song lyrics from one of his diss song "Euphoria". I find this specific lyric very strong and vivid due to how this is directly targeting Drake. Not only that, but this lyrics feels artistic and stylish when hearing or reading. I like how Kendrick Lamar turn these lyrics into arts and literature. That makes it inspirational enough for me to add it as well as not leaving the sketchbook page not blank with empty space and the make it full.

In essence, drawing Kendrick Lamar with abstract doodles and elements was one hell of an experience. In making mistakes, success bloomed in the end. In facing obstacles, I was able to reach the finish line eventually, with personal and artistic growth. This parallels to Kendrick Lamar's career. In facing criticisms and haters, love and respect was reach on the other side. In dealing with disses from Drake and other rappers, the arts and the literature always won in continuing to strive his legacy. This day have eventually came, in regards to drawing the GOAT none other than Kendrick Lamar. An art collaborating with art. An artist drawing an artist. It goes crazy in a whole another level. So overall, if I have to rate my Kenrick Lamar X Doodle Drawing, I honestly would rate it as 9.5/10. The realism of Kendrick Lamar and the abstract doodles goes crazy together, creating a sense of metaphor. 10 out of 10 Imma draw Kendrick Lamar or someone else like this in the way I drew THE GOAT.

*P.S. Here's why Kendrick is better than Drake and definitely will win the beef against him. Even Obama predicted that in the past that have aged well.*
